There are very few car waxes for pressure washers.
However, Applying wax by hand and buffing it can be a time-consuming process. Especially if you’re someone that’s really fussy about the finish of their car.
If you’ve ever been to a DIY Jetwash or your local car wash, you’ll have noticed they have a spray-on wax solution.
Using car wax that’s specifically designed for pressure washers is a quick and easy solution to make your car shine.
The biggest downside of using these is the fact that there are so few of them. People also question the effectiveness often choosing paste wax & spray-on wax instead.
AutoGlym Polar Seal
As I mentioned, these products are extremely rare.
AutoGlym Polar Seal is the only wax coating that’s specifically designed to be applied via a pressure washer.
Unfortunately, this is only available in the UK right now.
This is a solution that’s formulated for application via a pressure washer using a snow foam lance.
Polar seal is said to leave behind a “superhydrophobic” layer that promotes water beading, reduces drying times, and protects your paintwork for easier maintenance washes.
All that you need to do with this product, is spray it onto your clean vehicle, rinse it off and then dry it using clean microfiber towels.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll have a high gloss finish that’s very similar to the one you’d get using a paste wax or sealant.
From what I’ve seen, this is a very promising product and most people that use it recommend buying it.
It sprays on easily, rinses away quickly, and leaves behind an amazing gloss.
The main downside is that you need to use a decent amount of product for each application.
The longevity of this wax is uncertain and will vary based on how much you use the car. That said, I like what I see, and the initial beading is very promising.
Hopefully, AutoGlym will bring this to the US market, or a competitor will see how well it’s doing and try to recreate it.

Karcher Car Wash & Wax
Because there are no other car waxes for pressure washers, the next best option is to get a wash & wax product.
I’d recommend the Karcher Wash & Wax product because it’s made by a leading pressure washer brand specifically for use with pressure washers.
If time really is your issue, the Karcher promise is “cleaner, quicker”.
All you need to do is dilute the wash & wax solution in your favorite foam lance and then begin to cover your car in soap.
Once covered, you can hand wash the car using a mitt and then rinse away any residue before drying the car.
If you don’t dry the car off properly, you run the risk of streaking. You wouldn’t leave paste wax on a car to dry, would you?
What I love most about this product is its price. You can get 1 Gallon over product for under $20. The product is a concentrate, and if you were to dilute it further, can get up to 20 gallons of detergent from one container.
I do have to admit though. Wash & Wax products don’t offer the same level of protection as a dedicated wax.
They’re great for weekly maintenance washes, but for long-lasting protection, you’ll want a proper wax, sealant, or even ceramic coating.

Other Spray Wax Solutions
Now, if you’re in a hurry and don’t want to spend hours buffing paste wax from your car, there are other options.
Granted, they won’t be as quick as using a pressure washer, but they will significantly decrease the time you spend waxing your car.
Products such as Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax offer a quick and easy way to achieve the show car shine.
“Spray-on” waxes are super cheap, often costing $10-$20 for 24 ounces of product, and offer a long-lasting barrier of protection.
These are definitely the way to go if your mind is made up on using a spray-on solution. They’re accessible, cheap, and easy to top up.
Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax promises to make your paint come alive with a deep, wet-look shine.
It also provides a long-lasting protective barrier with hydrophobic technology that promotes water beading.
Meguiars also claim that you can apply it in direct sunlight. You don’t have to worry about rocks of paste wax drying on your car!
As long as you shake the bottle well and apply it to one clean body panel at a time. You’ll see a show car shine in a matter of minutes.
